    Vocal Health

    Vocal health is an imperative concept that encompasses physical, emotional, and environmental factors to ensure optimal functioning of the vocal apparatus. As a vocal coach, promoting and maintaining vocal health involves educating individuals on proper vocal techniques, fostering mindful vocal practices, and addressing potential sources of strain or damage.

    Breathing Control

    Fundamental to vocal health is efficient breath control. Teaching proper breathing techniques helps singers and speakers use their breath effectively, reducing strain on the vocal cords and promoting a clear, resonant sound.

    Vocal Placement

    Vocal placement is a concept in singing that refers to the sensation of where the sound vibrations are felt within the body, particularly the head and chest. It's about directing and controlling the resonance of your voice to achieve a desired tone quality and projection.

    Meet Delvin Choice

    It may have been Hollywood where Delvin won over America and blew away all four judges as he sored to the finals on NBC's The Voice, but that talent was home grown in Greenville, South Carolina. In fact, Delvin was recognized by the state of South Carolina with two resolutions in appreciation of musical accomplishments and contributions.

     

    A singer from birth, Delvin is an alumni of The Greenville Fine Arts Center, where he studied classical music for four years and a graduate of Wade Hampton High School. Delvin's diverse background includes numerous awards and theatrical roles including, Aint't Misbehavin', Roger and Hammerstein 's Carousel, Motown Magic, Little Shop of Horrors, Smokey Joe's Café, Ragtime the Musical, Seussical The Musical, Pippin and more.

     

    In recent years, Delvin has been honored to perform the National anthem for the Charlotte Hornets and the Carolina Panther and has toured with multi-grammy nominated artist Musiq Soulchild. Delvin enjoys spending time with his beautiful wife Haley and their children Kinsley and Titus.
